WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW INPUT FROM OUR MEMBERS!!

---
Last month we heard from the Preserve French Creek LLC people. For those who do not know, the City of Custer has proposed and passed a project that allows the water treatment plant to now let water (treated?) be released into French Creek in Custer State Park. We have not heard from the GFP on this but have been told they signed off on the deal. Landowners with wells and livestock down stream are concerned as well as what the impact to the fishery and wildlife could be.

I have stated the Kevin Roblin will be our speaker next month but he has to move the date to Jan 3rd due to many other commitments. Next month we will meet the new School Coordination for the Outdoor Campus. As you know, we have been pushing this position to filled for quite a long time. Way to go Lacy. There will be some other staff from the campus attend and we will also hear from John Kanta. Hopefully he will be able to talk about the French creek issue and we will also be getting an update on the shooting range. It appears the Meade Co commissioners are up to another trick. They are creating a new ordinance for shooting ranges.

Attendance was low for the hunting film tour. The films were very good however. It was still a great fundraiser with a gross of over 4200 dollars. A HUGE thanks to our sponsors and donors.....First Stop Gun,  Scheels, Jim Scull, The Greater Dacotah Chapter of SCI and First Interstate Bank. Club members Tom Krafka, Cody Hodson and Jeff Olson also chipped in some cash.

Rooster hunting went well for me and I am pretty sure I have the best hunting dog ever. I hope everyone else got out and enjoyed opening day.
