Greetings From Your President

Already May! Happy Mothers day to all our Mothers out there. We all know how important these people are in our lives, lets make sure they know. Need all you sons and daughters out there to make this special.

I want to thank those that showed up for the creek cleanup in the middle of the blizzard! I think we had a pretty successful outing collecting a few truck loads of trash. The creek defiantly could use some more attention, pretty sad state in some parts of the city.

I’ve yet to take a turkey as of writing this but looking forward to the weekend. How about everyone else? Send us in some pictures I want to see the beards!

Make sure you get your elk applications in its about that time.

Enjoy your spring!

Send us your hunting Pictures. We need to spice up the photos section.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW INPUT FROM OUR MEMBERS!!

---

This month, Trenten Haffley from the GFP will speak to the club about Rapid City Deer Management. We need more awareness of the hunting program within the city limits and how the herd is currently being managed.
I am not sure how well the raffle has been run in my absence, but I am guessing the pot is getting pretty big and the chance to win is also improving. Please attend our next gathering

We had 22 people show up for the stream clean day. Quite impressive since it was blizzarding out. Our club had 3 guys so the main force was the BH Fly Fishers who ran a very good event. We will do it again when we can actually have a BBQ.

I want to give a big thanks to our new life members, Cody Hodson, Avery Olson and Vance Newman.  We also have a couple of new adds in our newsletter. Black Hills Archery and Golden Hills Taxidermy. Thanks Al Krause and Gary English for supporting our club and sportsmen women in our area. Membership renewal has been going well. As always, we have a few stragglers. If you are not sure if you are current, please contact me at baeits605@gmail.com or 605-393-5225 and I will let ya know. Don't make me print delinquent names in the newsletter.

Please send any fish or turkey pics

We are trying something new.    It is quite easy to use Survey Monkey and I think we use this tool often during the legislative session. PLEASE take the few seconds to complete the surveys (link attached below). You can always go to our website and contact any board member if you want to have further discussion on any of the issues we bring up in the surveys.  There will be links on our website, in our newsletters and on Facebook. Also feel free to contact us on anything you would like to see surveyed.
