 Greetings From Your President

Can you believe we’re halfway through the year already? Time flies when you’re in your mid-40s I can’t imagine how you guys feel. Seems like I was just shoveling snow last week…

Well everybody should know if they’re deer hunting this year by now? I drew a West River any whitetail tag. Anybody draw something exciting?

I really want to thank all the members that came out to help with the stream cleanup. I really think it was a big success and a great collaborative venture with the Black Hills Fly Fishers. Lots of laughs, good food and a clean creek.

I hope to see everyone at the luncheon

Send us your hunting Pictures. We need to spice up the photos section.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW INPUT FROM OUR MEMBERS!!

Dana Rogers will be the speaker this month.  Dana is the new director of the SDWF and has this organization hopping.    We will hear about the progress so far and the many new goals they have set forth.   They have a number of big issues the will be bringing to the commission and the GFP and our club needs to support them.   We will see these suggested changes in petition form for the commission or in bill form for the legislators.   The two big topics will be non-residents and licensing guides.  There is actually a top ten list of things that will be good for our South Dakota Sportsmen.  Please attend this meeting to learn more

Please let me know if will be attending any of these events.   It would be nice to see our club make a good showing
August 16th   Cocktail hour with free drink tickets and food  sponsored by the Black Hills Sportsmen Club    6pm   Hilton Garden  Inn   Rapid City
August 17th    Annual South Dakota Wildlife Federation Banquet     $40 per person    6pm Hilton Garden Inn
We have three members receiving awards that evening.    There will be a small auction also.

Stream Clean up was a huge success.  A special thanks to Paul V and Cody for helping with the food.   Everyone got cool prizes who attend the event at Lost Cabin later in the day

We have put a lot of time into the web page also. If anyone has input or would like us to add to our webpage please email us at blackhillssportsmenclub@gmail.com
