Greetings From Your President
I guess we couldn’t ask for better weather leading into Fall. I urge everyone to get out and do some sightseeing of the leaves changing and elk bugling its fantastic this time of year. I suppose the warm weather is bringing much for Ducks & Geese through as of yet. Any reports? Resident Pheasant opener is Oct 8th who has plans? Copper & I are ready to go! I don’t know if any of you saw but a member of our club Ken Edel brought forth a petition to include Sheridan Lake to the West River exception to the Walleye harvest and length limits. Currently Sheridan Lake follows the statewide limits and being such a small heavily fished lake it’s going to be difficult to sustain a walleye population. I’m sure this will come up for comment at the next commission meeting. Please get the word out about the Hunting Film Tour we are hosting on the 12th. This is our big fundraiser of the year and need to make up for a few down years from not having the event. Bring everyone you know, Kids, Husbands, Wives, Grand Parents etc. Raffle Tickets will sell fast with some good prizes to be had as always
Send us your hunting Pictures. We need to spice up the photos section.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW INPUT FROM OUR MEMBERS!!
--- It is time to tell some hunting and fishing stories. Please bring pictures if ya got 'em to our Oct meeting. Also, please bring a guest. We will be sending out information to join out club to over 3000 Pennington Co, hunters this month. The goal is always to improve membership but more importantly, we need to get the word out on who we are and the great things we do to protect our right to hunt and fish and preserve the resource. In this day and age of social media, I still believe the best tool is word of mouth. It is up to you to recruit and spread the word. Speaking of, we need to let everyone know about our up and coming, one and only fundraiser
It is a big month, THE HUNTING FILM TOUR is in town. Oct 12th. Tickets will be available at our meeting but the easiest way is to just get them at the door at the Elks Theatre. Please put it on you calendar and you must bring some buddies.
Looking forward to a great Fall. Our November program will Kevin Robling, Sec of the Game Fish and Parks. Great attendance is mandatory for this one
