Mission Statement: To promote the conservation, sound management, and sustainable use of wildlife and wildlife habitat and to protect the privilege of sportsmen to hunt and fish through advocacy and education.

Greetings From Your President
Wow! It went dry quick.. Grass went from bright green to a nice toasted brown in a matter of weeks and its just the beginning of August. The good news is the terrestrial bite is on! Some of my favorite times to hit the streams with hoppers and ant patterns. Pretty fun fishing right now I hope everyone gets out and enjoys the cool water on these hot days.

We are trying to plan a group get together that would allow us to meet and discuss some current issues that are looming. We do not have a date or time set in stone but we are leaning towards an outdoor get together around the September 8th time frame. I've lined up a few guest chefs to prepare a 5 star dining experience around a picnic table. I promise full bellies and wealth of knowledge and information with the approved social distancing requirements. Please stay tuned for more information, once I have some dates set we will send out an official invite.

I'd like to know how your deer application process went? Did you get the tag(s) you wanted? The new application program has been in for 2 years now and if there seems to be anything we need to comment on as a group please let us know your experience.

Have a great August!
Thank you
~Cody Hodson

How does everyone feel about starting up meetings again in September? The board set a tentative date for September 8th (normally the first Tuesday of the month but that would be Sept 1st and that is a holy day for me, Dove opener).

I hope everyone drew at least one deer tag? Again, I am hearing from a lot of unhappy people with this new system, me being one of them of course. So many places I have worked hard to get access to are no longer available because once you get one tag WR, you are no longer able to apply for another WR unit. East river guys who draw an ER tag can apply in the next draw for a WR tag.   Why are there no non-resident tags east river? All seems a little slanted to for thought.
